Chloe's Playhouse is a professional pet sitting and dog walking company. We recently won the Voter's Choice Award for Best Dog Walker in Charlotte with Charlotte Magazine's Best of the Best Awards! I would consider it a great honor to be able to care for your pets while you are away.

Chloe's Playhouse is licensed, bonded and insured. I am a proud member of Pet Sitters International (PSI). I am also certified in Pet First Aid and CPR with the American Red Cross of Charlotte.

We are available for vacations or when you are away from home for long hours during the day.     I never worry at all about my pets when I leave them in Heather's care. She is wonderful with my 11 yr old poodle and the two big dogs outside. Very Professional - would trust her to see to any medical need the dogs would have. She is wonderful about emailing me throughout visits to keep me informed of the dogs. She is willing to go above and beyond the "call of duty". Happy that we found "Chloe's Playhouse"!

    Heather is in her element when she is around her animals. She loves her cats and dogs. She has dog sat numerous times over the years. Our dogs get excited when they see her as they know they will get to romp and play, and, maybe, get an extra treat!. It is good to see she is fulfilling her dream of opening a business where she can do what she loves best, taking care of animals and giving them lots of love. We miss her here in PA.

    I have used Heather several times to watch my babies. Whenever I have to go out of town I know Heather will give them all the love and attention they get when I'm home. Cece, Blackie, and Jersey all love Heather and that is the best recommendation she can get. Heather gets a 3 paws up from us.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Being an effective pack leader! We believe exercise can greatly reduce bad behaviors exhibited by dogs. Most bad behaviors extend from lack of exercise and in turn they get frustrated and act out. Getting that daily 30 minute walk can drastically change your dog for the better!

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. You can tell immediately that we are pet lovers! It shines through and illuminates the entire room! We love all of our pets, big and small! We want to Love Your Pet While You're Away! We give them all the love and affection they need while you are away.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Everything! We love meeting fellow pet lovers as well as the pets that they hold dear to their hearts! Sharing that common bond is very rewarding!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. They want to know exactly what we do. If you are gone for long hours during the day, we will come and check on your pet in the middle of the day. We can also administer meds and bring in the mail/newspaper. If you are going on vacation, we will come to your home 3x a day. We will also rotate blinds and lights, take out trash/recycling, bring in the mail, and water plants if needed. We give your home the lived in look so outsiders cannot tell you are away.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. One of our clients have a huge lake on their property. Their two big dogs love to run together and hop in the lake to cool off on a hot and sunny day! It's amazing to see them leap into the water and doggie paddle until they are cooled off and then come back up and relax in the shade!

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Pet Sitting can be a lot less stressful than a boarding facility.
