FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I help current students at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. Mentoring helps me as much as it helps them. I am also looking for a Masters degree program, but I have not chosen one yet. In the meantime, I watch a lot of YouTube videos. Some of the videos I watch are just to observe other people's techniques and some are instructional videos on how to do things. It's amazing what you can teach and/or learn online.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I wanted to do something that would allow me to be creative, but that would still be technical and challenging. I also didn't want to be at a desk all the time or physically laboring all the time. Producing video allows me to get out of the office to shoot, but sit and relax to edit. It is truly the best of both worlds.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common video products are website videos. Website videos allow your potential clients to watch instead of read. They allow your clients to see you as a person and get eyes on your business. Websites with videos help you to connect with your potential customers and are more welcoming than websites without videos.
