FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Since receiving a Master in Art History and Art Culture, I have been a professional photographer, doing wedding, portraiture, commercial, and fine art photography. I am an active member in the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), and attend frequent continuing education seminars offered by the PPA. I also attend frequent workshops and conferences held by other professional organizations in the photography field.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My suggestion to a perspective client is to look closely at their potential photographers and hire the most experienced and talented photographer they can retain. This will ensure a day that runs smoothly, is a lot of fun, and results in timeless images and wedding albums which you will treasure.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I am retired from the United States Air Force, having served for 24 years. I also believe in "giving back" to my community using my skills and talent as a photographic artist. I was a volunteer photographer for Charlotte's "Flight of Honor" program sponsored by Rotary International. This program offered World War II veterans a chance to go on a free flight to Washington D.C. to see their WW II Memorial' and to visit several of the military branch memorials as well. I have also been a volunteer photographer for "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep", a foundation started by fellow professional photographer, to offer free bereavement photography for those losing children during childbirth or shortly thereafter.
