- What types of customers have you worked with?
I am predominantly a wedding photographer and have been serving families for more then a decade. In addition, Photoplay Photography offers children, family, senior portrait and editorial photography. I like to utilize location settings for the vast majority of my work but the studio offers a convenient location for infants and bridal portraits. At Photoplay although we are based in Charlotte, NC, we love to travel and we offer destination wedding photography at the same rate as local weddings plus travel expenses.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would suggest to anyone looking for a wedding photographer in particular to really do their leg work. Nowadays there are so many fly by night photographers with a new digital camera that think they can shoot a wedding with no problems. A wedding is such an event that requires not just a fancy camera but skill, experience and patience. Look for a photographer that has an extensive background in many disciplines. Its my personal experience and opinion that one can not shoot a wedding completely in one style of photography only. Your photographer should be an accomplished and skilled portrait photographer as well as being perfectly capable of shooting documentary, photo journalistic, editorial and candid photography. I promise you...your wedding will require all those styles to fully capture every nuance of your special day.
