Introduction: I have been baking and decorating cakes since 2000 and am very proud of my loyal customer base, especially those that trust me to mail their delightful delicacies around the world to friends and family. I am very passionate about using my talents and pride myself on using top rated healthy ingredients without compromising taste and quality. My cottage bakery has been inspected and licensed by the State of NC and is run under stringent guidelines. Our portfolio includes custom cakes, cupcakes, international desserts(yes I make Baklava😊) quick breads, Jamaican desserts and fruit arrangements . When I am not baking, I spend my time cooking and relaxing. After 20 years of baking and decorating I finally decided to make it official and recently received my Baking and Pastry Arts Diploma from Escoffier.

I threw a surprise 50th birthday party for my husband and needed a custom carrot cake in the shape of 50lb gym plates. Well Janice delivered!! Literally! Every single guest - including a few hard-to-please - could not believe how DELICIOUS the cake came out. It was moist, the cream cheese filling tasted like buttercream - ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and the design came out great! I have not had carrot cake like this! My husband was so impressed and had a few slices, as well as I did. 1000% recommend JMPartyCakes! You will not go wrong!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Fondant and custom work is more expensive . 50% deposit is required to reserve the date.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We discuss flavor, no of guests, theme and date and look at pictures to set expectations. I then provide a price and require 50% deposit at least a week before the event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All 3 levels of Wilton cake decorating and I am currently working on a degree in Baking and a Pastry Arts.
