A. Events are common things that I turn into amazing MEMORIES.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Ask to see any provider's work . This is usually referred to as their "Reel" or "Demo Reel". Ask specifically
"What did you contribute to this reel?" Always ask for references.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. The best conversion rates come when you tell the viewer exactly what the expectation is or the "Next Step". We call it next step marketing and guide the viewer to follow a preset path. Don't let your viewer guess what to do next, tell them.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Ask any marketing agency to give you numbers of their campaigns. Ask about click through rates, reach, views and most importantly, conversion rates.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. The most important thing to think about is who is your target audience. Everything flows from this. We do a "Perfect Client" profile that helps determine who your target audience is, what they like, what they need and what they wish they could have.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I've been at this for a while because I love photography and cinematography. I have a keen eye and a gentle touch that give the best imagery around.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I like interacting with people and capturing them at their best.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. What camera am I using lol. Seroiusly, everyone wants to know what I shoot with - I shoot Canon EOS line of cameras. Everything from a T2i to a 5D mk iii to a 1Dc.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. It take a great deal of training and experience to get an amazing photo or video. If you hire someone, shouldn't it be AMAZING?
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I had a darkroom under the stairs when I was a teenager. I've been interested in photography since my dad started letting me use his camera.
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. I produced a sales video for Canon Cameras that is being used at Best Buy stores across the country. It was shot in 4K using the Canon 1Dc.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I belong to a number of training sites.
Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?
A. 4k is huge and is already changing the industry.
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. Pick up a camera, start shooting... everything.
