I am a custom home builder/re-modeler in the Lake Norman area. I feel that being a female sets me apart from a lot of builders as I will typically work with the lady of the house. I use the same subcontractors I have used since my first house was built, with very few exceptions, and that gives me the stability and consistency homeowners are looking for today.

Aside from custom homes, I have experience in additions, kitchen and bath remodels, basement upfits, and screened porch additions.

Check out my website for more information, photos and comments about my work.

Triangle Homebuilders did a beautiful job on our large screened in porch addition. They paid great attention to detail, stayed within budget, and finished on schedule. Danielle is a pleasure to work with and communicated with us regularly. The one issue we had was an inconsistency in the floor finish and Danielle made sure it was corrected to our satisfaction. We have no hesitation to recommend Triangle for any project.

Triangle Homebuilders rennovated our Lake Norman ranch house, installing a gourmet kitchen and a designer master suite. They added about 200 sq ft of interior space and a garage. With new windows, landscaping and paint, our curb appeal skyrocketed! Danyele and her team of subcontractors were terrific. The hallmark of a great company is their willingness to do it right the first time or to make it right when there is a hick-up. Triangle Homebuilders did just that. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Investigate the background of the contractor you are hiring. Interview past customers which you can find from building permits possibly. Check to see if they have ever filed bankruptcy. Call the North Carolina General Contractors Board or BBB to confirm if any complaints have been filed against the individual or company. Another important piece of advice is make sure they have a VALID license and up to date general liability and worker's comp insurance.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Hire a general contractor. Lots of things you can do on your own, however, hiring a GC gives you the confidence that the job will be done per requirements and that if anything happens, there are steps to take with the GC to correct them. Also, it is easier for a GC to get subs to commit to a job than an individual. The subs feel they have much more commitment to a GC than an individual as they will continue to get business from the GC. The subs typically charge a little more to work with individuals because usually they are not in the know as to what order things should go in and sometimes call subs out before it is time. Which costs them time.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Ask for license information and CONFIRM it. Ask for a certificate of insurance straight from their insurance agent. Ask for recent customer and CALL them, don't just get the names and numbers.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. What exactly are you looking to accomplish in the remodel, ie more space, more productive space, improving the value of the home, etc.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love seeing the finished product and the excitement in homeowner's faces when they are so pleased with thte project.
