Introduction: I have a multiple experiences to draw from from a career Music Education: Sang Choral and Solo Music at a variety of levels from Church Choir, to Oratorio to Opera throughout my life and have studied with Voice Teachers who have had careers on European Opera Stages, etc. In Asheville, I have sung and played with the Trinity Episcopal Church Asheville Community Band, Smokey Mt. Brass Band, Asheville Choral Society, & Asheville Lyric Opera. As a part time semi-Retired Music Educator for over 30 years and Sub-Conductor for Choral and Band Teachers across Buncombe County, NC, I constantly use and build on all my music & educational skill sets with Middle and High School Students. It provides opportunity for me to build my lesson and publishing business.

Mr. Woodard arrived to help me try to learn how to play drums. He is very knowledgable in helping true beginners and has much experience in doing so. He is patient and helpful in correcting bad habits before these have time to form. He corrects quickly, firmly, patiently and supportively. We met at my home and he adapted well to my surroundings. We started immediately. He arrived with equiptment necessary to start with and was at pains to make sure that the items fit me. He was on time and it was easy to find a time that worked for both of us. His explanations and demonstrations are clear! From my point of view the whole experience went well. I look forward to our next meeting quite positively.

David was great. He's teaching me some basic drumming. My first lesson was last night. David came to my house, he was on time, looked neat and clean, and got right to business. He had even stopped at a music store on the way and got me a book on drumming. He gave me instruction on grip and basic drumming skills which was great. I felt I got more than my money's worth. I would recommend him to anyone. I look forward to my next lesson.

David spent over 6 months EVERY week preparing our son for his college scholarship audition. Because of David's consistency, encouragement, and wealth of expertise, our son did so well auditioning that it took the cost of a private school education to that of a public in state school. We can not thank David enough for the supportive, nurturing and superb coaching and training he has provided for our son, who has been singing for 15 years and has career aspirations in vocal performance in sacred music, choral conducting and music ministry. David is hands down, the best.

Earned Both Bachelor's and Master's in Music Education, teaching full time for over 30 years. I have Sung in 4 operas here in Asheville and will be singing in the ALO's Magic Flute beginning rehearsals later this month
