A full-service wedding and special event management firm, Designs By Lady Vye specializes in design and planning.
Designs By Lady Vye provides our clientele unparalleled quality, style, and superior services. Our planning team knows that to create the most stress-free and cohesive event possible, managing all aspects of your special occasion is essential.
From last-minute adjustments to the smallest detail, we work to make sure that your event is a reflection of your creativity, personality, and style.
A. Think about what you want out of your wedding or event, what things are most important and what things are least important. Think about your realistic budget; this is how we professionals are able to tell you what will and will not work. Even if it is not final, set an amount that you can share with your professionals – because we need to know.
A. Decorations are not easy! They require a lot of time and creativity. If you are a DIY bride – try not to take on no more than 2-3 DIY projects, leave the rest to us professionals. Make sure you start early on the project don’t wait until the week of the event for craft like items such as favor creation and assembly, you’ll stress yourself out!
A. They should identify the important aspects or what they are seeking out of each professional. After identifying that they should then make sure to ask the questions that will identity if the professional is able to provide the service or product that they desire.
For example: It’s important for the couple to have pre-wedding photos of both bride and groom. You should ask will it be one or two photographers – this will allow you to gauge timing! Two photographers are always best, especially for things like this.
Another example: You like to make the final decisions on your wedding items. You should ask what type of planning style the planner has; to make sure they are not dominating the decisions and take your day and make it something else. It should always be what you want, ultimately our job is to make sure that it will work, be appropriate and execute it!

A. I so enjoy working with people – I’m a natural people person. I enjoy decorating events, the process of the planning the design all the way through production. I really brings me so much joy when I look at a room when I walk into the space, when we are packed up after the room has been decorated, the nothing to something affect is so AWESOME. The joy that someone has on their face for a wedding or event planning serviced event is also so AMAZING! Those are just a few things that I like most about my job and that I look forward to event after event.
A. YES, I am always learning more about my field – I think it is very important to better serve my clients. The most notable education is being a part of ABC, Association of Bridal Consultants. They continue to educate their members through local, state and national meetings. I try to attend every state meeting which is about 3x each year. I also take advantage of any continuing education by the way of webinars, tele-seminars and online education courses that are event related.
