- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In January of 2011, I attended the National Wildlife Control Operators Association Annual Convention in New Orleans. While there, I participated in two 4-hour certification classes, one for bird abatement and one on technical standards for safe and humane bat removal. I also attend several workshops every year on best management practices for what I do.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been trapping wildlife since is was 9 years old. After 18 years in this business, I am still amazed that I am paid to do what I love.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The majority of my residential and commercial calls are to exclude bats, squirrels, birds and snakes from the living quarters, attics and crawl spaces of residential and commercial buildings. I rescue animals that are trapped in buildings. I locate and remove dead animals from homes and businesses.
