Introduction: Congratulations and welcome to my page. I recognize that choosing a wedding officiant can be a difficult decision and I want to make it easy for you. I’m an ordained minister here in the Charlotte area and nothing brings my heart more joy than to experience the joy of newly weds crossings the threshold of engagement to marriage. Additionally, I’ve conducted numerous weddings large and small so I have lots of experience in what makes an enjoyable wedding. Furthermore, I’m the 2015 and 2016 Toastmasters World Champion of Public Speaking and I have spoken in several countries and across the United States. As your officiant, my aim is to remove the stress of the service and give you the peace of mind that your special day will be one of the happiest moments of your life. The level of professionalism conveyed by Darnell is second to none, his contributions to our Wedding enhanced the overall experience. Keeping our guests engaged and smiling. The epitome of class and integrity, he is well spoken and proficient at what he does. We felt like we were amongst family and not strangers. Guiding us through the overall process, supporting us as if we’ve known them a lifetime. Did I mention you are not only gaining an officiant, him and his wife are a dynamic duo. These two have survived the test of time and they openly share their experience and love with others. God willing, whenever we have our vow renewal, he will officiate the ceremony as well.

My husband and I had an amazing ceremony and experience with Darnell! We got in contact with him only a few weeks before our wedding date. He and his wife took it upon themselves to drive over 2h out to our location and hike up a steep mountain trail before dawn to officiate our elopement on the summit at sunrise. He did what noone else would with such a short notice and our remote location. He was determined to work it out with us and made our ceremony an event we'll keep in our hearts forever. Darnell with IntimateMomentsWeddings is one of the kindest, most charismatic persons we know and will hopefully stay a friend for a lifetime. Can only recommend!

My wife and I hired Darnell for our wedding and we have absolutely no complaints. After days of searching and reading reviews, we chose Darnell due to such high praise in the reviews. Well. Add this review to one of the reasons why you should choose him. We requested a mix of fun yet traditional ceremony as we wanted to enjoy laughs with our guests and he nailed it. 10/10 recommend. Would 1000% hire him again and have even recommended him to some of my other friends who are on their way to getting married.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer straightforward pricing. My fee is $350 for weddings in the Charlotte/ Concord region. If outside of the Charlotte or Concord area there is a mileage fee. The fee doesn’t include rehearsal but if you hire me I’ll be happy assist with the rehearsal for a small additional fee.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We'll have a conversation by text, email or phone about what you're looking for in your ceremony and for you to determine whether I'm a good fit to do your ceremony. Then sign the contract and pay deposit. (half of the $350 fee)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve been a professional speaker for over 10 years and I’ve spent my adult life in pursuing the study of rhetoric. Additionally, my mother and father are both ministers and that has afforded me the best role models for officiating weddings. As a result of their teachings, I’ve been standing up to speak in various forums since I was an adolescent.
