My yard was completely overgrown and looked like a jungle. They responded to me immediately and did the work within a couple days. I was a businessman for 30 years, so I realize Will will learn a lot along the way. The first wrinkle happened when he increased the quote from 100 to 140 for the initial work because it was a 2 hour drive to me. I explained to him you don't count the drive time. I asked if he thought I got paid extra when my commute to the office was over an hour. Plus he advertised being available in this area. My yard was a mess so I agreed to 120. He did perfectly fine that first time. As he said he would do in his quote, he bagged and took away the clippings. He told me he was a Marine doing this on the weekend, trying to get a new business established, so I wanted to help him out. I showed him some other handyman stuff and asked if he could help. He enthusiastically agreed. He came the next weekend, mowed again and said his trimmer had broken, so not trimmed out. I gave more money in anticipation of him completing everything, including the repair of fencing work someone else did. By this time I had given him 750, and he had worked 4 hours tops. But I thought he had accomplished a major fix, and I trusted him to finish. This past weekend his worker mowed, left the clippings and did not mow an area behind a fence that will one day be the garden. I didn't realize that, but he trimmed out *most* of the rough spots. Will worked on another project where screws were left poking out and the wood cut was extremely uneven. When I asked if he could do it, I specifically asked if he had a circular saw. He said yes, but he brought a reciprocal saw, which is why the cuts.. were so uneven. They rushed off after a couple hours again, but not before getting another 120. (I paid him 140/for the first cut after all, if he would fill in a small trench and some holes next time. That didn't happen.) Today I noticed that the major fix was not actually done. Nothing except the first lawn mowing had been completed to my satisfaction. I told him what needed to happen this weekend. Instead of reacting like a business owner would, he gave me lots of attitude. Since I had given him 870 for at most 6 hours work, I offered to not write a review if he gave some of it back. Didn't even specify an amount. He refused and said it was way more than 6 hours (because of the drive to and from his house I guess, even though he had other customers in my direction on at least 1 of those days.) Because of some misrepresentations, I did not want him back. I asked him to pick up 2 $4 bags of concrete, and even though I had paid far in advance for his services and of course would have reimbursed him the $8, he did not get them. That day he told me he didn't understand why we needed it. Today he told me he didn't get it because I was paying for labor, not material. Right. And that belies the justification for getting paid drive time. Anyway I'm out 870, and only the first mow was done as agreed. I should not have paid in advance. My bad. This is the first negative review I've written on here, and I hated to do it. I will lick my wounds for the money I'm out and wish him good luck in the future.

You paid for the mowing services on 3 occasions, which you are 3 hours away from my location. I offered to help you with your fence and other things you needed because the. Neighbors kept calling code on your property and animal control because of your aggressive pit bulls that kept escaping and attacked a teenager, a police officer and almost me on several occasions:) I offered to pick up the quick Crete but you said you had some then left them out in the rain to be destroyed. Have a good day, I’m sorry we didn’t meet your standards
