- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I worked as an assistant teacher for 12 years and watched parents as they dealt with the prospect of trying to keep their sanity while they juggled the responsibilities of work, children, children's extracurricular activities, elderly parents, and a social life. I knew concierge services were needed in a big way. People just need to have someone they can entrust their homes, pets, children, parents and possesions with. It is a daunting task and I am the answer to their problems!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Our company provides house sitting, pet sitting, errand running, courier service, overnight childcare, pick up and delivery service, personal shopping, gift and card shopping, dog walking/dog park, wait service for maintenance and service, elementary tutoring, plant watering, disabled and elderly sitting, and more! All requests considered.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you talk to the service provider personally and meet with them if at all possible. Check their references, both professional and business. Ask for a background check. Check with the Better Business Bureau for complaints. You can also look to see if they have a Facebook account and look them up on Google. Always leave very specific instructions and ask what payment options and arrangements are available. Never pay until services are rendered.
