- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently working on pursuing a Ph.D. in Education. As a teacher, I really enjoy attending professional development sessions on differentiation, Bloom's Taxonomy, how to increase speaking fluency.. and I strongly enjoy exchanging resources and activities with other teachers online.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
While credentials are certainly important, when looking for a tutor, I believe the most critical component for success is finding someone who will bring comfort and motivation to lessons, while helping you to obtain your goals. With new students, I like to schedule introductory meetings (free of charge), to talk about any previous knowledge/experience they have with the subject, and exactly what their goals are. This is extremely helpful so that I can bring appropriate materials to the first lesson and we can get started on progress right away!
