Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I provide more free services when it comes to marketing listings than any other agent I know of in the Triangle market. Combine that with my attention to detail and my attentiveness to my clients and I think I provide the best combination of tools and service that any home buyer or seller could possibly want.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I enjoy helping people deal with one of the most expensive if not the most expensive investment they have or will have, depending on whether they are buying or selling a home. I like the challenges of getting all the pieces of a transaction put together quickly and correctly. And I love the fact that every day is different. It doesn't hurt that I work with a great group of people too at the Jim Allen Group at Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How is the market? It's getting better all the time.
What makes you bettter than your competition? It's a combination of the company that supports me, my training and experience, and the tools and services I offer that others don't. Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. One of my favorite stories concerns a client who both listed his house with me and then used me as his buyer's agent.

He had first chosen to try to sell the house himself. I visited his home when he was holding an open house. I had buyer clients with me and it was more important to make sure they saw a potential property than for me to be concerned about commissions. However, once there I confirmed the seller would pay a commission if I brought a qualified buyer. But before I left I gave him my card and suggested that if he didn't want to bother with the hassle, safety concerns and lack of marketing strength compared to what my company and I could offer that he should give me a call. Well, the next day he called me and by that evening I had the listing. Then in 41 days the house was sold. A few months later I helped him buy his new home. He and his family have become friends. They've even cut a short video testimonial for me that can be found on my personal website.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I have taken classes to become certified or to earn a special designation in the areas of seniors, Green homes, dealing specifically with buyers, staging, dealing with short sales, foreclosures and REO properties and luxury properties. And I go to CE update classes several times per year.

I am always striving to be the best prepared Realtor a buyer or seller could find here in the Triangle area.

It is important for buyers and sellers to feel confident that their Realtor is going to be up to date on what's happening in the real estate market and to be well versed on the latest rules, regulations and forms.
