Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: 1. We background check our staff and carefully screen our teachers for professionalism, courtesy and character. We also follow the rule that great performers do not always make great teachers (and vice versa). 2. We are recognized as innovators and leaders in our field by NAMM, the music industry's international trade association (NAMM.org) and are regular speakers at trade shows and industry functions on the best practices in our industry. 3. We love music and love to teach music. Watching as people discover they can play music even after they say they are tone deaf and have no musical ability (and we get to play music everyday!)

Hired on Thumbtack

I went in for my first voice lesson tonight. I had no idea what to expect and was a bit nervous. Jill took me through a few postural and breathing exercises. After that, she played some keys and listened to my ability to match my voice to them. Before the lesson, I was super nervous to sing in front of a stranger, but by the end of the lesson I sang a song in front of her! (one of my choosing) I am really looking forward to the next lesson - my confidence is already improving!

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask lots of questions, tour the teaching studios (are they clean and are the teaching tools up to date?), ask if they tailor the curriculum to your needs and do they have a student assessment survey. If they can not asses you how will they teach you or know what is appropriate for you?

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

The owner (he's in the studios almost daily and interacts with everyone) is from a small farming town and farm family and treats everyone like they are old friends. There is no "guy in a back office" or "man behind the secret curtain" here. But what many people do not realize is that every single email that is generated from the company web site goes directly to the owner's inbox and he answers every email personally. Good customer service starts with good customer interaction, and that means returning emails and calls promptly.
