I worked with an organizer previously. I became irritated with her because an old phone was thrown away while she was working with my husband. Other than that,I like my former organiser. I was happy to find this company initially so I can move on from the past and meet my organisational goals. I wanted my closet to organized due to all the stressors I have going on. She came in and did a lot of work in the closet. Unfortunately there is no rhyme or reason to it. Shirts are with coats, pants are with shirts, etc. like items are not with each other, etc. I went to get a T-shirt and long sleeve t-shirts are mixed with short sleeve, etc. I stressed that I needed a system in order for it to last and I needed things to be clearly delineated. She didn’t want to label (she had a labeler ml and purchased it for this project.). She said “you will know when you look what it is..” Well I don’t and neither does anyone else. I had to separate some of the spring blazers from the winter. It is stressing me out because I paid for this but there is no system so it will not last. It does look better than it did but not for long. She is a nice woman but if you are looking for someone to organize a closet, in my humble opinion, she does not know the basics. Her pictures regarding designing are nice. Organizing not so much. I will have to pick someone from the national association of professional organizers to make sure they know the basics. There is some benefit to what she did, but honestly it causes me more anxiety because I paid and I know it has no chance of lasting any significant amount of time.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, of course I do. I go through continuing education with the Interior Design Society which involve several venders each month to keep us all updated.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I actually decided to get in this line of work to help a lady at my church. The young "blushing" bride was planning her wedding. She was frustrated and not getting the product she wanted and deserved. Although I was a novice at designing weddings and creating florals, I decide to help. The event went very well. The bride was pleased. I began to receive requests for proposals to decorate weddings. I then began to receive requests to help plan parties and decorate homes. Alone with my degree I decided to project some time with the Interior Designer Society and keep up with the current market and take classes of continue education in the trade. As they often say, "The rest is history..."
What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common job I complete for my clients is decorating home. The home design projects may be as small as redesigning the formal or casual living areas to completely redecorating or remodeling the entire house.
