I own Chihuahuas. I used to breed them, but now I just dog sit. I mainly take care of Chihuahuas, but I will accept any other small dog.

The dogs stay in a large air-conditioned sun room where they have access to a securely fenced and gated yard via a doggie door. Small dogs that cannot go down the steps can use a two-layer deck with a puppy ramp to reach the yard.

The dogs often like to sit on the deck, and they are always shaded with large umbrellas. Since they usually sit on the deck and not out in the grass, they hardly ever get fleas.

Fresh, cool water is always available on the deck for the dogs to drink, and if it is a little warm outside, I put out fans on the deck. Of course, if they don't want to be on the deck, they can come and go as they please through the doggie door in the sun room.

I never cage the dogs that I keep: they have nice beds in the sun room. Food and water are always available to them, and they also have a T.V. My dogs are spoiled, and so will be yours.

I also do grooming.

I take only cash for my services.

My dog Romeo was well cared for by Sandy. I felt very comfortable leaving him in her care and her rates were very reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to use Sandy again for dog sitting - I highly recommend her.

Oh, Sandy...Chad & I haven't contacted you in 4 years but were talking about you tonight- when I found you here I just had to take the opportunity to give you insurmountable thanks for our 2 children, Buddy and Daisy. To anyone who needs reassurance that this woman will treat your babies as her own, please consider my humble recomendation reassurance that, Chihuahua or not, they will be in great hands.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Dog Sit
Grooming
Stud Service
Cut Nails

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Well, Your dogs will be spoiled like mine. Need to bring their records to make sure they are up to date on everything. While they are gone they are free to call anytime to check on the dog. If they need a reference I will be glad to tell them how to get in touch with my vet. He has seen my dogs for many years and knows me very well. Can only take small dogs.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Because I really do care. It is not all about money. They are my four legged children. I lost my only child to a car accident. These dogs mean everything to me. Who could not love something so precious. I have happy dogs and that speaks for itself. Their needs are alwasy met and they live in great living conditions.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Seeing all the different little personalities of all different dogs. Seeing how much they love you and just how much they want to be with you and do nothing but try to please and love you.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Sometimes I might get a dog that is not really socialized with other dogs and they have asked me to help them with that. What I do is seperate at first that dog into another room and gradually bring a friendly dog in and see how it goes and then later add another dog until we get to the point that they can go outside with the other dogs and feel comfortable. And even then I am out their with them to make sure that this dog is o.k. and can handle the situation..
