FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process would be exchanging email and/or phone communication, going over the logistics and pricing information. If everyone is on board, I then schedule a meeting, generally at a local coffee shop just to meet, get a sense of each other and I bring a long some printed images. I ask questions to get to know you guys and allow you to ask me questions, I get to know more about your wedding day plans. If everyone is happy and ready to work together, I send over a copy of my contract for viewing and signing and I send an invoice for the retainer! Sometime in the next few weeks or months, depending on each client and how soon they are ready, we schedule another meeting to go over the timeline and talk about picture ideas and more wedding plans!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Hi! So, of course you're going to want to make sure their images are what you're envisioning for yourself. I suggest asking to see an entire wedding gallery, not just the 20 or so great images they have on their website. Anyone can have a great 20 images but by seeing full galleries that really shows you what you can expect. Secondly, make sure you meet with your photographer-to-be, I tell folks this all the time, you are going to be with your photographer(s) 8+ hours on one of the biggest days of your life. It is very important that your personalities mesh well. You don't want to end up with a photographer that takes beautiful images but is absolutely cold or doesn't have the greatest attitude. I personally believe that having a great relationship with your photographer is a WONDERFUL thing! You are relaxed, free to be yourself and live in your moments on your wedding day, rather than feeling akward in front of the camera. I like to have fun, I like to be goofy and make folks laugh, okay, so yes I'm a dork but it works! :)
