My name's Jodanna Cook, and I create custom truly handcrafted jewelry using only the finest of materials such as sterling silver, gold-filled, vermeil, semi-precious gemstones, Swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls, and lampwork glass.
I have a lot of experience designing custom jewelry based on customer requirements and needs. Each piece of jewelry you see on my website was designed and put together by hand personally by me. Most customers tell me that my jewelry designs are unique, one-of-a-kind, well designed, good quality, and most of all, eye-catching and sparkly!
A. If you are looking for a jewelry designer to custom design jewelry for a particular occasion or just want to purchase truly handcrafted jewelry, my advice would be do your research to ensure that the designer that you anticipating working with can do the type of jewelry design that you are looking for.
A. As a handcrafted artisan jewelry designer, I always like to explain the types of materials that are used to make the unique jewelry that I design and of course like to accentuate the fact that my jewelry truly is handmade in every aspect. By explaining and helping my customers to understand the good quality of the materials that i use and the time and care that goes into to each piece, these aspects help my customers understand why my designer jewelry should be set apart from mass produced low quality jewelry sold in retail outlets.
A. What is your design process?
How long does your design process normally take?
what if the initial design is not really what I was looking for? Do I get another design?
What types of materials do you use?
What if I have skin allergies to certain metals/materials?
What type of jewelry packaging do you offer?
A. I would recommend that before a potential buyer contacts me to do custom jewelry design, that they have a pretty detailed idea (type, color(s), metals, etc.) of the type of custom jewelry that they want designed. I say this because, as part of the design process, I charge a fee, usually a percentage of the total cost before I begin designing the custom jewelry and this fee is non-refundable. This fee is to cover extra materials that I typically will need to purchase due to the custom nature of the piece.
