Technically, this fellow does good work. However, he charges by time and materials. At least he did with me. That was my first mistake. Based on what I know now, he low balls his estimates, then increases the work scope once he's on the project, especially if you aren't around to monitor the work. Get the details of your job in writing and his signature, because he will forget what was agreed to. I asked him to replace a rotten wall, half the roof shingles and two doors on my shed. We agreed during his initial visit that the other walls and rest of the roof was sound. It's an old building, so I just wanted a patch job since I plan to sell in a year or two. What I got was a total restoration which, of course, he expected me to pay for, which I did. But I cancelled the project when it hit $1200. ALL of the singles were torn off which I have to now replace myself. I'll waste a day of vacation from work cleaning up the mess that was left behind. Unless you can be home to monitor the work, which I wasn't, find someone you know and trust. There was no communication during the project. He would show up one day, then disappear for a day or two. He never consulted with me about that state of the building or the extent of the rot. I never knew when he was going to be working at my house, so I had to trust that he was truthful about the hours. By the time I'm done, even doing some of the work myself, I'll have $1700 in an OLD backyard shed. Dumb dumb dumb.

It is always good to get a reminder that even when striving to serve and provide excellent service there will be those that will remind you that you can't please everyone. There were several rain days over the past few weeks but most people understand that you can't work in the rain. It is now a new shed and will stand longer than the owner. Hours were exactly as quoted. Material was a little more due to extreme dry rot in the walls and rafters. You can't clean up a mess when you are not allowed to return. We work alone all the time and our clients trust us with the keys to their homes. We wish this client all the best!

Dave did a very good job for us. He came out and diagnosed that we had a section of our sliding glass door frame that had moisture rot. He was able to cut out the bad section, go to Home Depot and get treated wood, sealer and paint. He replaced everything in about 2 hours. His charge was very reasonable and we will use Dave again.

Dave came to my house to fix my front door handleset, but found a quicker and easier solution that ended up saving me time and money. Dave was very flexible and easy to work with. He backed his work product by promising to come back free of charge if the issue reoccurs in the future.
