FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are primarily by the job but may vary on the amount of items which in turn would go to an hourly rate. I incorporate labor, fuel , and the dump fee on the junk hauling. It really helps me to have a customer that is very descriptive with what there items are . A mixed load is a little different. A mixed load example would be a person with tree branches and old furniture. That would be two stops at two different landfills. Move jobs are FLAT rated and some are HOURLY
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I contact the potential customer asap after a request. We then talk about what the job consists of and i'd try to give a rough estimate of what the price maybe. Go out and look at the job and if we agree on a price we'd set a time & day and go from there.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do a self study of accomplishments and failures. I take a step back and ask myself what I could do better , no matter if it's hauling or cleaning. It's good to always start with self and go from there. I use catalogs to find new tools of the trade constantly.
