FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
the average boudoir session is $100 to $175. The gifts sets run from $100 to $500. The average boudoir customer will spend for session and gift set around $400 to $600. Included are the low res proofs on disc and high resolution copies of the pictures in the gift set. The amount of art work required can alter the amounts.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For the boudoir it usually starts with a phone conversation or Emails. I ask them what their budget is and what do they want in a final product. If they want to schedule and appointment to come in an see sample beyond what I put on my website I can do so. If they want to schedule a photo session I usually ask for a $25 deposit visa or master card which is applied to their session. I do this because sometimes people make appointments and do not show up or even call to cancel. This fee protects me from wasting my time that could be used for other clients. After the session depending on how big is was I will use a few work days to edit the pictures and prepare them for proofing. I will touch up a few for finished work sample for the client. Jump drive or CD copyright low res will be sent to the customer for photo selection and gift set selection. Once I have the selection I will process the will all corrections and touchups needed. If a book is ordered another session is scheduled for the client to review the finished works and the book layout. Once approved the book is order or prints through a professional lab.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took photography back in college, always been a hobby of mine since living in Hawaii. Been a member of several photographers groups and associations. Received training from several old masters in the business. And to be honest I am still learning new things after all these years. Now startups come to me and I am teaching a few young photographers the secrets I have learn over the years.
