A. Be sure your guide has experience kayak fishing. A guide that knows the water and fishing habitat can help you have a fun and satisfying trip.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. How to paddle and fish at the same time! Knowing how to control the kayak while attempting to catch fish.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Are the kayaks stable? What should I bring for my trip? Is equipment provided? How long is the trip?

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Being in the outdoors enjoying nature. Southwest Nebraska has much to offer in respect to the outdoors. Paddling these pristene waters is very relaxing and the clear waters present much habitat to observe.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I am just finishing my Masters Degree. I attend many outdoor expo's and events to see the newest techniques used in fishing. We also invite other fishermen to join us and learn new techniques from them as well. We have also become recently certified with the "National Fishing in Schools Program."
