Vaughn has worked on numerous projects for me, to include apartment remodels, construction, masonry, painting (interior and exterior) plumbing etc. over a period of fourteen (14) years. I have never thought of trying anyone else. Some specifics: in my personal residence, he has tiled an addition, removed and replaced all of the old piping, rebuilt an old stone wall lakeside, painted and repaired where necessary. On the apartments and buildings, Vaughn has been responsible for all maintenance, interior and exterior in two multifamily buildings for years. He has totally remodeled 4 units, done major wall board repairs due to water damage, repainted each unit, some several times after tenant changes. He has replaced 16 windows, removed and replaced a two story external staircase to meet current code and repaired roofing. I could continue, but the list is too lengthy and much the same. I can not say enough positive things about Vaughn's "jack of all trade" abilities, personal work ethics, honesty and self motivation and business judgment. I will recommend Vaughn Colangelo to anyone. I am confident that if he in not up the job, he will let it be know before accepting. He has consistently produced quality workmanship with a professional attitude.

I contracted with Vaughn to complete a number of projects at my home including various interior work and the construction of a gable roof over my front door. The quality of his work is top notch and I found his prices to be very fair. In fact I was so pleased with his work I recommended him to my parents who have contracted with him to perform several sizable landscaping and remodeling projects at their home. Thus far the projects are progressing on time and with the same high quality I experienced. Based on my experience I would recommend Vaughn without hesitation.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not complicated, here it is in a nutshell; At contract signing a deposit of 40% down, that covers most of the materials. the balance is divided into the number of weeks it may take to preform the work and at the end of the work week a check is cut for that amount. Any/all additional work would be added to the contract, is paid for in full at that time.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Not much choice, my father said to all of us if you want to live here under my roof you need to work, so he taught me all about housing from the street to the chimney and everything in between. when I grew up there were no separation of trades you needed to know it all and be very good at it you you didn't last. For me I liked the idea of having the ability to see how things are done on paper, but I really enjoy the hands on part.
