What do you like most about your job?

I can honestly say that I love to run my own business. Although most of my clients are virtual, I do have clients that I've known for years, and I enjoy working with them all very much.

Running my own business is so rewarding to me for a few reasons. I am my own boss first and foremost, and I do not have to worry about the day-to-day trials of working for someone. Nor do I have to stress over the possibility of someone else getting that promotion I worked so hard for, which has happened to me in the past. I love the fact that I can set my own hours and that my clients are flexible. There are always deadlines that need to be met, but when you can work from home like I do, those deadlines aren't nearly as stressful and are much easier to accomplish without all the interruptions in the work place.

Pro-Comp-Services will sign a confidentiality agreement to give their clients peace of mind. In addition, PCS uses Norton Internet Security and Anti-Virus Software as well as AVG Internet Security and Anti-Virus Software on our machines to ensure a virus free and secure working environment.

How did you decide to get in your line of work?

I started out in the administrative field more than 20 years ago. As the years passed I worked my way up the ladder at a pharmaceutical company. I loved the work and was making great money, but I was traveling more than I wanted to, working 60-70 hours per week, doing the work of three people, and on top of all that my boss was an inexperienced manager.

During the almost 5 years I worked there, and to make a long story short, there had been many promises made and broken along the way. I had earned many certifications and awards for projects and goals that had not only been accomplished but exceeded in many cases. So after learning that my promotion had been given to another employee just because it was more cost effective for the company, I decided that my value at this company was not appreciated at all and it was time to leave.

I decided to go back to the basics. I thought everyone needs administrative assistance from time to time, and there might even be some people out there who could use my expertise on a full or part time basis. That is how Pro-Comp-Services was created, and it has been one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life thus far.

What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

The old adage is very true... "you get what you pay for." And this business is no different.

There are some VAs that charge less than what Pro-Comp-Services charges. However, I have heard horror stories of how a client of mine tried one of the more "cost effective" VAs to try and save some money, only to be disappointed and unsatisfied with the performance they were given.
