Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Be decisive, when you are ready to sell your home or to buy a new home.
For Sellers: make a list of what needs to be done to make your house look more appealing to buyers (I can help you with this).
For Buyers: make a list of the things that are important to you, how many bedrooms or bathrooms is a good place to start (if you need some help, contact me).

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. One of my clients told me to treat him like as if he had no idea about real estate and over explain if necessary. He had not bought or sold a house for many years & this industry is constantly changing. Now I let my clients know that I am over-explaining to make sure anything that may have changed since their last transaction is covered.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Are you working full time in real estate? There is nothing wrong with an agent that is working part time in real estate & at a second job, but I think a client has a right to know. That way you will know when your agent is available. I am a full time agent, however I normally take Sunday off to be with my family.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Who a buyer will be using for financing is probably the most important thing they can do prior to meeting with their REALTOR. They should have already sat down with a lender before calling a real estate agent. This gives them an idea of how much they can afford and they can get pre-approved to make their chances of having their offer on a property accepted by the seller.
