This person is a scammer. Great communication right up until he received the photos. He posted them to his AirBnB account MINUTES after we finished editing and sent them over. No communication at all afterwards. No request was sent asking for additional photos, or brighter lights (we used the natural light because it’s a tiny place and honestly it wasn’t a nice property. (Trash on the back porch and in the driveway, couch cushions a mess, placemats were a mess, dirty mugs). We tried our best to make it look nice and even straightened everything out. After the photos were received, he disappeared and stopped contact altogether. After multiple emails, messages and twice sending the invoice, we politely requested he reach out and also pay for the services received. He then tried to say he didn’t like the photos, even though he had already uploaded them, and asked us to drive the 1.5 hours back and reshoot the photos and include two additional ones that were never requested, offering “gas money”. Had he been honest and upfront, we may have considered that, but after he made rude comments and complained, we offered to redo the shoot for 150.00, including the reshoot and 3 hours travel. He then paid the invoice, sent more rude and ignorant comments, then filed for a chargeback through Square, which they honored without reason. So, we spent half a day traveling, shooting and editing photos which he used to list his rooms for rent, then got his money back so they were free. Then had the nerve to leave this dishonest review. To top it all off, Square suspects him of fraudulent card use, and we are out the costs incurred because of it. Our photos are currently still being used to promote his property, until our lawyer files the proper paperwork. This was a cautionary tale for us as a young company, and we will use what we’ve learned here to protect ourselves better.
