A. I would want to know if my chimney is safe and up to code?
We educated every customer when starting a job about safety and code regulations. We also teach them what to watch for if there is a problem such as, tar stains on top of chimney, odors coming into house from chimney, deterioration of chimney etc.

What size of flues do they have?
Is there Chimney Capped?
If there Chimney is lined or not?
How high is there Chimney from the ground?

A. We take pride in our work and are very efficient!
Covering All openings with poly and drop cloths
before cleaning,and removing our shoes before entering a house!

recommends annual inspection of all fireplaces,

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. I went to Clean a Chimney because smoke was coming back in house!
I got on the roof,started cleaning. And i hit something, A blockage in fireplace flue.
So I pulled my Brush out and a mother raccoon came out with it! I put her on the roof and she wouldn't leave.
So I sent my brush back down and pulled two babes out! She took one at a time and went on her way!
I sold this customer a Cap with her cleaning.

A. That Cleaning and servicing your Chimney Could Safe your Life!
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I worked as a Mason/Tender in my teen yrs as a summer job and stuck to it.
I found it gratifying work and am always happy with the end result.
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. We demoed a Chimney of 350 bricks,
re-layed it and stuffed a liner down and capped it all
in one day!
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. We attend seminars, workshops yearly to improve our service to our customers.
We also get re-certified every three years.
Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?
A. Re-lining of flues,the ability to have a top Damper, are some great ways to improve your chimney life!

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.
A. I re-pointed and Stuccoed the outer face of Chimney.
It was about 6 feet wide and 8 feet high and 2 feet thick.
The whole job took two days, pointing one day, stucco the next.
