Larry Pelkey is the man to deal with when you need chimney work done. He did what he said he was going to do on time and at affordable price. He returned my call in a timely fashion and cleaned up after the work was done. He even started a fire in my wood stove to make sure everything was working properly before he left. I would recommend Larry and his crew to anyone who likes dealing with a honest, reliable person. Judith S

My mother happened to meet Larry Pelkey in a grocery store parking lot. That's how I heard of him - from the business card she had. I needed a chimney sweep, as our regular chimney sweep is no longer in the business. I had a little concern, having dealt with a dishonest one in the past. . .But the chimney needed cleaning before I could fire up the wood stove, and when winter comes in New England, that's not an option, so we hired him! And were we ever more than pleased that we hired Larry! He is as honest as the day is long! His work is top-notch, and neat and clean, and timely. Not only did he clean out my chimney - - he emptied last year's ashes from the wood stove, too. (I've never had anyone do that before.) He laid down a heavy black cloth, so all the bits of dust and soot were on that. Again, I've never had that done before. Come to find out, as a general matter of normal maintenance, he always puts on a coat of breathable waterproofing (customer willing, of course). I've never known of a chimney sweep to do that as a matter of course. He is able to give you lots of information so that you're a fully-informed and educated wood stove and fireplace user. Not only is he an expert in the matter of cleaning of the flues and stoves, he is also a mason by trade. This means he can actually give sound, reliable advice about the structure of the chimney itself. This is, of course, invaluable, because often it isn't a simple matter of merely cleaning a flue. The structure itself needs to be properly maintained and one needs a reliable mason to speak to that aspect. So I'd like to share right here that I can recommend him gladly. It was refreshing dealing with PC Chimney Systems. I feel relieved to know right where to call next year when the chimney needs its annual cleaning.

I'm so glad I found Larry, it is really hard to find honest, reliable and friendly crew out there to do work for your home. He came and gave us a very fair quote to put a liner in my chimney and put on a new cap. He came when he said he would and finished the job very quickly. I then hired him to fix my mother's chimney. He took care of my mother more than I had expected he would. Larry is a stand up guy who is very reliable and very reasonably priced. He is not out there to take advantage of people to get the most money out of a job like other companies. For any other jobs I will need in the future, I will most definitely hire Larry again and refer him to anyone else I know that needs work done.

Thank you Larry for taking care of us

    Your friend

I hired Larry Pelkey and his crew to do a few basement projects in our condominium. He was always very pleasant and prompt in his responses, gave great advice about possible solutions and options to our basement problems and very straightforward with cost of materials and cost of labor. He did a fantastic job, all work was completely in a timely fashion and there were no hidden costs or unexpected surprises. I am thrilled I found him and plan on hiring him again in the future.
