Introduction: I believe that your wedding should be about celebrating the two of you, coming together with your closest friends and family and having an awesome time. I don't believe that it should be all about the photos, “recreating” moments or forcing awkward poses for a certain visual aesthetic. Everything about the way I shoot and approach the wedding day is organic, fun and “go-with-the-flow.” What you’ll find here: Silliness, thoughtfulness, lots of laughing, quiet moments, quirky details, grand estates, backyard weddings… Whatever is the essence of YOU, that is what I capture. I enjoy everything about being a wedding photographer. Working in beautiful locations, on one of the happiest days of the couple's lives... Being able to use my creativity, and working with amazing clients! I love album design, meeting with clients before the wedding to discuss details, and all of that stuff, too :)

We had a great experience with Brett. She is so nice! She drove down to RI to photograph our outdoor wedding, arrived on time, and was very professional. She worked with us to arrange a payment schedule that fit our needs, and was very understanding when we had to start the wedding an hour late (she was only supposed to be there for 2 hours). She even offered to stay a bit longer if she had to! She is a cool, laid back chick! The photos came out beautiful!!! Overall, we are very happy with her services! Totally recommend her!

Brett Alison completely exceeded our expectations for our wedding photographer! I actually freaked out after the ceremony bc I didn't think she got any shots inside the chapel- she did of course (beautiful shots) but in her subtle way that I honestly didn't know she was there. My biggest fear before the Big Day was capturing my groom smiling... Was never an issue! She got a great selection of posed and my favorite- candid shots :) It is so great showing family and friends our wedding photos, they captured our day beautifully and we absolutely recommend Brett!

I offer packages as well as an hourly rate
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We would discuss (over email/phone/meeting) what they are looking for, any specific ideas, they would go over my portfolio to see what my style is and we'd go from there!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my BA in Visual Arts/Photography from Bennington College in 2001.
