What Should Be Shredded?

With identity theft now being the fastest growing crime in the USA, any document that deals with personal information that could harm your business or an individual, must be destroyed.

Examples of these types of documents can be seen every day throughout the workplace:

* Correspondence
* Medical Records
* Legal Briefs
* Accounts Payable and Receivable
* Credit Reports
* Insurance Forms
* Payroll Records
* Patient Information
* Sales Records
* X-Rays
* Invoices
* Engineering Documents
* Engineering Drawings
* Classified Information
* Client Records
* Banking Applications
* Business Reports
* Financial Information
* Student Records
* Personnel Records

Make sure you don't waste any time removing staples or paper clips; we'll shred those as well! Furthermore, you will no longer have to spend time feeding sheet after sheet into a manual office shredding machine.

With several options to choose from, you can select the service that fits your needs the best. Large amounts of shredding, done right on site at your office.

Medium loads, we can send someone to your location to pick up your shredding, or you can bring your documents to our location. We take care of the rest, we ensure the material will be destroyed.

Document destruction compliance is now the law. Keeping customer and employee information secure is more than good business. It's the law. Legislation concerning privacy is becoming more rigorous and continues to be strictly enforced.

Organizations that fail to comply will incur severe penalties. Privacy legislation includes the ultimate destruction of confidential information, and shredding is the preferred method of document destruction. Information contained in documents must be destroyed so that it cannot be recreated.

Parcel Room’s document destruction services were developed with a bonded and licensed professional company. Our set up is specifically designed to deal with the privacy and confidentiality requirements of individuals and organizations.

Our proven, uncompromising document destruction standards make sure your documents get destroyed in compliance with the legislation that applies to your business needs, your specific industry, and your municipal, regional and federal compliance requirements.

Our partner’s in-truck shredders are incredibly powerful, turning even clipboards and cardboard into fine confetti that can't possibly be reconstructed.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Look for a shredding company that will offer a certificate of destruction. Ask if you need to remove any paperclips or staple or binder clips. Our shredder doesn't requite you remove anything, it will eat just about anything we can feed it. No minimums, no maximums, we offer all services from drop off, pick up, and even shred on site.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Not all shredding is equal, look for shredders that are certified, that recycle the shredding once they are done with it to complete the destruction cycle. You don't need to waste time removing staples, paperclips or even binderclips the machine will even eat binders.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Are you certified? What do you do with the shredding materials once you shred them. Can I get a certificate of destruction once its complete?
