About
I have been asked what sets me apart form other Dog Trainers. I believe I get results where others fail. It is very important to my clients that they get their Dog(s) to behave well and become a balanced, loving part of their family. I show my clients how to get a balanced dog through one on one training. All behavioral problems will be addressed and corrected. So many of my clients have taken their Dog(s) to other training centers, or have hired other private trainers and were extremely frustrated because their pets still were exhibiting the behavioral problems that they wanted corrected. The Dog Tamer gets results period. I have been called "a miracle worker" by most of my clients and they are now enjoying calmer, more balanced pets through my training. No Dog is too much for me, BIG or small. To me, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing a transformation in a dogs behavior to a balanced state. It is so enjoying to witness a dog go from a frustrated state of mind and body to a calm canine. To equally view an owners gratification to finally see their beloved pet transform into the pet that they always desired-calm and well balanced. I truly am a dog lover and am 100% devoted to a dogs well being.

Tom was amazing! We didn't know what to expect but after he left our evaluation session we couldn't wait for him to come back. He not only offers individual sessions but packages as well. He not only helped our dog but also helped us to help our dog balance his life. We have a 4 year old male yellow lab named Tiger that was pulling on the leash during walks and jumping on people when they gave him attention. Within minutes of meeting tom it was evident he was not only there to offer behavioral training, as requested, but the overall well being of our dog. He provided insight on grooming techniques, food, treats, body language, etc... Using Tom's techniques we noticed a dramatic change in areas either myself or my fiance were struggling in before such as pulling while walking and new people coming over. Even though our package is up Tom still gives us advice/help over the phone and truly cares about our dog Tiger. To sum it up i would HIGHLY recommend Tom to anyone. Sincerely, Steve, Jackie & Tiger

Tom is great, took a difficult dog, i adopted from tennesee , who must have been abused and helped me and my wife learn how to teach him to respect us. I wanted one-on-one training and not the group training offered by stores and it was worth it. the moment Tom walked in the door , my dog instantly rolled over and showed his tummy. I now get compliments from my neighbors on my daily walks about how improved my dog is walking with me, not pulling and controlling me. He has learned to trust me and is no longer afraid of random men we see on walks cause he learned i'm the one in control. Thanks Tom.

I am so so so very happy with Tom and the work he does. To say my dog had some issues would be a huge under statement. After just a few sessions the turn around in my dog has been AMAZING!!!!!! Tom is very easy to work with and answers any and all questions you may have. He walks you through everything step by step. Tom has really changed the life of my dog for the better! I was hopeless with my little guy and was at a point where I was willing to accept that this was it, he will always have these problems. Thankfully I was referred to Tom and my dog has come full circle! I would recommend The Dog Tamer to anyone looking for a trainer.

I was completely helpless and ready to quit on my 15 month old dog (who I had just adopted and was told by the adoption agency was a half pitbull half shih tzu) when a friend insisted I call "Tom the Dog Tamer". From the second I talked to Tom on the phone I felt like their was hope again. Prior to speaking with Tom, I had been informed by a "professional" behavioralist that my dog needed to be returned to the adoption agency and put to sleep immediately. With Tom's assistance and guidance, I have turned a "daemon" into a kinder, calmer, better behaved dog. Tom has helped with teaching the dog basic commands, as well as walking properly on a leash. He has shown me the proper way to be a leader so that my dog stops trying to run the household and now she is under my control. When adopting the dog I was told that she got along with bigger dogs but was too much to handle for little dogs. Instead, I experienced a dog who would puff her fur up and would go out of her way to look for strangers and dogs to show aggression towards. Thanks to Tom, she no longer goes out of her way to intimidate others and, in fact, he has even facilitated with the interaction between my dog and my mother's dog (a 6 year old Beagle). Had I not been in contact with Tom, I would still feel helpless with a poorly behaved dog that I would fear needed to be put to sleep. Since meeting Tom, I have seen a complete change in my dog and I have a truly loving companion now. Tom is readily available and has been willing to travel to any location where I have needed him. If I could describe him to anyone, I would tell them, "He is THE best!" and I would not recommend anyone else as a trainer!

Jessica has had a tremendous tough case with a dog that she was told to put down even by trainers because of her dogs behavioral issues due to her not trusting. She has done a great job of changing into what this dog needs a mentally strong and active leader. I truly appreciated having a hand in saving this dog. She is special.

We are first time dog owners and Tom was recommended by the breeder as the guy to call for training our goldendoodle. He was amazing. I didn't realize what we were getting into with an 8 week old puppy! Tom came to us, which was great in learning how to train our puppy in our environment. He taught us how to take control of a variety of situations while being caring and affectionate with our puppy. I have a folder with notes and a dog that is so much better behaved. Tom is very professional and includes the whole family to make sure we're all on the same page with the pup. I would not hesitate a minute in recommending Tom. I am sure we'll be working with him again in the future.
