Introduction: At Vanguard Music Studio we combine a fun, creative atmosphere with substantive, engaging lessons and classes. Our space is welcoming and our faculty are well educated, inspired, experienced and committed to their students' musical development. We enjoy teaching students of all ages and skill levels and understanding what motivates them musically. As educators we are very gratified to see our students taking on exciting musical challenges and growing as musicians and as people.

Andrew Shantz has been our 7 year-old son's piano teacher for the last year. Andrew's patient and laid-back personality makes Michael feel at ease. He allows Michael to be creative while also teaching the fundamentals of music. In the last year we have witnessed tremendous growth in Michael's skills and we have Andrew to thank for creating a fun and inviting environment for him.

VMS has a friendly atmosphere, and great teachers. My son is 12. He is taking piano lessons and band lessons. He plays classical and modern pieces. He is in two rock bands where he plays the keyboard and he sings. The music school's program keeps him motivated to thrive better.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our 30-minute classes are $35. 45-miunte classes are $50 and 60-minute classes are $65. We offer 1/2 off the first month ($70 instead of $140) for new students or families.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The most important first step is to understand the student's goals and interests. We balance student's interests with teacher's expertise to maximize fun with long-term learning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our faculty are avid creative professionals who make it their business to invest in their own musical skill and expand their musical horizons through performing with their peers and hearing new music that inspires them.
