I got a good quote for taking down one huge tree, trimming branches on 10 others, and grinding 3 stumps.
The huge tree came down great. The 3 stumps also went great.
The trimming was a nightmare. They used spikes to climb the hemlocks, which I share with my neighbor. He came out and said they were hurting the trees. The supervisor agreed and asked the guys to switch to another method. I don't know what happened after that but they tried again with the spikes and my neighbor flipped out. Then one of the guys started yelling back. Not what I wanted to deal with.
They promised to come back and trim with the proper tooling but never did. Luckily I only paid for the work they actually did.
They also didn't remove the stump for the huge tree. After a couple weeks of me following up they sent someone out, but he said removing the stump was impossible. I don't believe them at this point.
My neighbor claims these guys are not licensed LTEs. I don't know if that's true but he knows much more than I do about trees.
Good price and initially timely service but not worth the hassle, would not use again.
