Thank you Chris for your kind review. I'm looking forward to meeting you tomorrow. If you don't mind, please bring the handouts if any from your previous lessons to give me a better idea of what you've been exposed to. You mentioned Gary Moore as one of the players you like, here's a funny video with him and some other guitar greats that you might enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeIxJzdPD0A

Tom is a great teacher. He adapts quickly to the student and really focuses on the areas that can get you playing and creating music. He able to keep me focused on learning to play the guitar and I enjoy the lessons and keeps me focused. Amazing person and teacher.

I have been taking guitar lessons from Tom for approximately 1-1/2 years. I have to say that I’m totally amazed at the speed in which I have learned the basics of guitar playing, thanks to Tom’s excellent teaching, caring and encouragement . When I began on this improbable journey, I knew zero about the guitar itself and less than zero about playing the guitar. All I knew was that I always wanted to learn to play and that one didn’t need to read music in order to do so. Tom is very patient which is vital for a beginner.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Many years ago, after a public performance, someone in the audience asked me if I would teach them guitar. I really enjoyed sharing my musical knowledge, have come a long way since then but still try to improve and be the absolute best teacher I can be for each individual student.
