It is kind of like when a baseball batter experiences the phenomenon of only seeing/hearing the pitcher and nothing else. I can get into a zone like that since I do not have to talk and I can just walk around and "see".
Street photographer Roy Caratozzolo III sees things differently. While everybody else sees the mundane, he sees the sublime.
An arbiter of pure photography, he makes poignant moments out of everyday life. The Metropolitan New York is his playground, mirroring its daily complexities and subtleties into compelling images.
Through his company, Tozzophoto, he offers photo tours documenting your visit in NYC. While you fall in love with the areas unrivalled street culture, he preserves your memories in imageries akin to the ones found in modern art galleries.
It is kind of weird to be walking around NYC with a photographer following them in public...my personality allows them to eventually forget that they are even being photographed in public and that results in great shots. The people that are in my photos are simply actors in a scene that I am seeing. So it is like they are getting to be inside an art photo...I think that is cool!
A fellow artist described his works as "quirky yet smart"---an unusual combination of words, but it fits perfectly: candid and familiar subjects taken at a curious viewpoint without becoming muddled or loss of its essence or purpose.
Beguiling images that attract the eyes, intrigues the mind, and evokes the heart---experience these and more only from Tozzophoto.
