Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. We recently had a customer call us that had a problem with a GFCI plug in her kitchen. The customer had a unlicensed handyman in her home and he had removed the plug because it was not working. this handyman advised this customer that she would need to remove the entire back splash in her kitchen to see what is wrong with her electrical wiring. this customer was smart enough to call someone that is licensed and we found out that the plug had nothing wrong with it besides that the breaker on the plug needed to be reset which means pushing a button on the plug saving this cutomer potentially thousands of dollars for repairs if this so called handyman had his way. Check out your contractors !!

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Make sure you get licensed by the your state and fully insured. Take pride in your work and turn down projects that you don't know how to do or make connections with other contractors in other fields to work with you on the project.
