Mr. Applewhite returned my call within 30 minutes regarding an issue I was having with a memory issue. Since I am at a distance I mailed my laptop to him and he returned it within two days. I needed to have a password removed on a laptop. This laptop has tremendous sentimental value and I was hoping I wouldn't have to delete all the content on the computer in order to use it again. I reached out to Marc for advice and he assisted immediately. After considering trying to do it myself, I thought it would be best to let a professional handle it. In less than 24 hrs, the laptop was fixed and all the content on the laptop was still intact! I was very pleased with his fast and professional service. I should also mention it was reasonably priced!

My computer was barely alive and I used Thumbtack to find someone that could come to my apartment (b/c my machine is a desktop attached to four monitors and I really didn't want to lug it around NYC). I chose Marc because my Google searches on him revealed what I believed to be a competent, trustworthy person. My choice was good. Great, actually. He showed up exactly on time. He has an easy-going, pleasant manner about him that made me immediately comfortable in his presence. Perhaps most importantly, he is very good at what he does - fixing computers. We had settled on a flat rate beforehand. However, my computer was a likely candidate for a clean sweep and reformatting of the hard drive (basically erasing everything and starting over with a practically new computer). Yet, despite this being the likely outcome, Marc spent 2-3 hours trying to do other workarounds so that he wouldn't have to wipe my machine clean. I found this tactic honest and professional - I wasn't paying the man by the hour, yet he ended up spending five hours at apartment fixing my machine because he wanted to do it the best way possible. In the end, we had to reformat the hard drive (I had already backed up my data on an external hard drive before Marc arrived b/c I anticipated this outcome). And now I can happily say that my computer runs like brand new. Outsourcing this to Marc saved me immense time and untold headaches. I hope my computer is good for another five years. But, if it's not, then I hope Marc is still in the business. Thanks, Marc. Kyle

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We send the customer a questionnaire as an initial assessment of their needs. Then we correspond either via e-mail or phone where we discuss their answers and respond with a quote for services. If customer accepts the quote, they must then pay a 50% deposit. After that, we'll get to work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
18 years of work experience in technology, 5 as a web designer. Also, a computer science degree.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Began doing websites as the demand for them increased.
