FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am currently offering discounts to clients who pay up front. I charge 45 an hour for math tutoring, however, if you agree to pay for 10 hours up front, you will only be charged 450 for the ten hours and not 500. If you pay up front for 20 hours, I will charge 850, and if you pay up front for 30 hours I will charge 1200. The prices and discounts do not reflect final prices for all services offered as different services have different prices. For clients that I have to travel to, an additional 5-10 dollars an hour will be charged to compensation for travel costs and travel time. For clients who are far enough to incur these fees must be willing to have 2 hour sessions unless otherwise agreed with me.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, I like to take some time to get to know each other. We talk about the purpose of the tutoring, what issues need to be remedied and I get to know a little about the student and the student can ask me questions. From there, we work on a plan with a schedule to meet the goals in a streamlined manner. There is no such thing as overcommunication and what's most important is that the client is satisfied.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's in Mathematics as well as some education courses. I have tutored for several years and have some teaching and administrative experience from the summer program I helped run.
