Introduction: I derive joy from the success of my students! The confidence and well being we can receive through music is potentially life changing. These lessons are about you growing as a musician, performer and person. And as a working professional in the industry I have current insight to what casting directors, producers, publishers and other professionals are looking for. Lauren Brancato is a truly gifted teacher! She has an incredibly wide range of musical knowledge and experience making her a diversified and very capable teacher. Lauren can develop any voice whether a novice shower-singer or a seasoned stage-performer. She emphasizes the importance of breath with placement and builds life-long, healthy singing habits. Her teaching style is comfortable and encouraging yet she pushes me beyond what I could achieve on my own. The first time I met with Lauren, she pinpointed my needs immediately and designed a plan with specific exercises to address those needs. I significantly improved my singing very quickly. After a short time, I was singing stronger and with more clarity than I ever could have imagined. I highly recommend Lauren Brancato for children, teens and adults at every level. Shes outstanding!

I am a professional singer and songwriter and was Ms. Brancato's voice student for two years. Over the course of that time she tailored lessons specifically to my level and needs. We started by learning fundamentals of breathing technique and then moved on to warming up the voice and finally focused on pitch. I am a MUCH better singer having had her guidance.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Beginner 50 minute lessons start at $75. Special extended studio sessions can be $100-150 depending on content. I also have an in-house recording setup to work on demo CDS and recording technique.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initially I get to know the student's voice and we determine a set of goals. Everyone gets a tutorial on proper breathing, and a series of vocal warm ups tailored to their specific voice in order to strengthen the voice and train the ear. Then we work on a couple different songs at a time, chosen for a "vocal workout" to challenge the student, as well as build the repetoire.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a BFA in Music and Theater from Illinois Wesleyan University. I have srudied under several notable voice teachers, and have performed and continue to perform in several arenas, from Broadway tours, to cruise ships, wedding bands and casino reviews, which keeps me fresh on the demands of the industry.
