A. Hi! I'm Robin A. Godfrey...I've designed Restaurants, schools, offices...you name it. I have worked on homes such as "Dr. Wayne and Marilyn Allen" (Sports Dr. for the Lakers and the Raiders) They were scaling back from a 12,000 square foot home to a 8,000 sq. ft. , I have also done work for Jack Klugman's Palm Springs home (remember "The odd Couple") & Joyce and Harry Grave's 11,000 square foot home with a 3,000 sq. ft. guest home. My company has done work for George Gund, owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers and San Jose Sharks, and Joseph Wambaugh...of the Los Angeles Police Department turned famous "Writer" of such works as "The Onion Field" and "Finnegan's Week" (he called this home his "upside-down house" equipped with an elevator and we put in some motorized window treatments that would work with a push of a button, from BED! And I almost forgot Micky Laughlin of "Our Gang". He's Froggy's brother!
Now that I have mentioned those...don't let me forget about all of those clients of "Everyday Lifestyles"! My talents are in working with varying budgets. I am not one of those "Designer's" that toss out everything and start over. I work very hard to integrate those treasured items and sentimental pieces without compromising the finished design.
I am dedicated to my career, now over 23 years (as of November of 2007) . I am extremely organized, detail oriented and driven! Let me create for you... the space of your dreams! "

Education:
Pinelands Regional High School, Tuckerton, NJ
Pierce College & Valley College Los Angeles, CA
My education is diversified. I originally studied at both Valley College and Pierce College in Southern California for Accounting and quickly realized that this knowledge was just what I needed to open up my own business. I went on to further educate myself with an Associates in Interior Design at Scranton, PA 's ICS.
My talents lay in my ability to listen to my clients, analyze their needs and desires, and find what it is that they are dreaming of, then do what it takes to make it happen! I love to take on those challenges where the client initially feels they have made some poor choices prior to calling on my services and with just a few simple adjustments and my magic furniture moving discs...Viola!
A. Here's what the clients have to say...
“Robin was fun to work with and made some great changes just by re-arranging some furniture pieces we already had. She provided wonderful advise in both color treatment for our kitchen dining area and for beautiful custom drapes and valances for our living room.” April 10, 2009

To whom it may concern:
Approximately two years ago we contacted Robin after we had purchased a semi-custom-build home in PebbleCreek, Arizona. We were in the design center phase where in a day and a half you had to choose everything from cabinet type and color to flooring, paint color, etc. Robin came in and helped us in our decision making. Everything came together as we had hoped. Then later when we moved in, Robin assisted us in choosing window coverings, furniture, etc. Robin has a great eye for color and placement. She was able to incorporate our pictures and most of our furniture in our new home. Over the kitchen cabinets we have a pot shelf and although we thought we would have to purchase items to decorate it, she was able to use the items we had, some of which I would never have guessed would work so well, and create the desired results. She isn't the type of designer that wants you to purchase everything new. She rises to the challenge of including what you possess, while staying true to the "look" you are trying to achieve. She is a perfectionist and is not satisfied until the desired result isaccomplished. Robin was a pleasure to work with and we would highly recommend her. Feel free to contact either David or myself if you have any questions at 623.518.9437.
Yours truly,
Sheryl Shenton
A. How does it work?
Harbor Design Studio & Estrella Mountain Interiors are full service design companies. We offer several different ways of compensating our design staff. Because each and every project is new and different...having different needs and expectations, jobs are priced accordingly. To get a more accurate answer
to "What is this going to cost me?"....
Sample Project #1 - Client has just purchased a brand new home, the tile, carpet, counters and cabinets are
already chosen. The client is bringing in most of the furnishings from their last home. They need window treatments and are unsure of paint colors. Furniture is positioned properly for the most part but client is missing other elements to complete the design, such as accessories and maybe some task lighting. This client would probably pay for the custom window treatments and the designer would advise them as to paint
color(s) and missing items, size and placement at no additional charge. Any additional items purchased outside of HDS or EMI would add on 20%. If project becomes more involved...an hourly fee may be added.
Sample Project #2 - Client is handy, they live in an older home and are able to get Aunt Peg to make their new drapes and valances. They have no idea what to do with the furniture arrangement or how to make it all come together. They can paint and strip off the old wall paper themselves. This client would probably be best
to hire the designer to create a floor plan, position the furnishings properly, advise on the window treatment color and sizes, where to mount them, paint choices and all of the necessary missing elements for that space. The
designer would charge a flat fee for this type of project.
Sample Project #3 - Client needs advice on their room's design. Something is wrong but they do not know what it is. They seem to have all of the necessary elements but they are not working together. This client may simply have the wrong paint color or maybe the balance is off and the designer needs to advice on where to place furniture or the hanging of pictures. This client would be best to pay by the hourly consultation fee.
Harbor Design Studio & Estrella Mountain Interiors accept most major credit cards for your convenience. We do not carry our own financing. We require 50% down on all custom orders and the balance is due upon
delivery. (exceptions may apply) We are unable to accept any cancellations on any custom orders that are made-to-measure (special ordered). Please click on the link marked "Questionnaire". This is a quick and easy form to complete and email back to HDS / EMI. This form will help the designer to isolate your needs and have a good idea of how to further advise. You may also call directly and you will be asked some basic questions in order to schedule your initial in-home consultation. We have a wide array of sample books and design catalogs to help assist in the discovery process. Please take a quick moment to complete (or review) the "Client Profile" Questionnaire. Thanks
