I a music teacher, offering lessons in cello, piano and music theory. I have been teaching since 1976, and have worked with people of widely varying backgrounds and ages, from 7 to 60. I currently teach at Elefante Music in New Providence and my studio in Livingston.
My rates are as follows:
* 30-minute lessons for $40
* 45-minute lessons for $45
* 60-minute lessons for $50
I will come to your location, for an additional $10 per lesson within a 20-minute or less drive. Additional fees apply for locations outside this distance.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Talk to them at length to get an idea of well he/she relates to potential students. Credentials and experience are important but it is ultimately how the student responds that will determine if there is real progress or not.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Although I (or any qualified music instructor) can make a huge difference in your progress on an instrument, as well as how much fun you'll have along the way, the prospective student should first ask him- or herself: am I really committed to practicing regularly, and not just for a month or two? Even if you're just experimenting with the possibility of a new musical instrument, you should be prepared to commit to at least, say, 4-6 months before deciding if it's for you or not.
