Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We are a one on one service. We strive to look at the entire event to ensure smoothness and an even flow to the event. Due to the many skills acquired through various training and of course, the detail of not only of an experience entertainer but also one that manages the paperwork. We ensure the client gets what she wishes..not what someone thought should be booked. Due to th eamount of knowledge earned, we are able to put together packages of trained workers. Such is our website "Dj special" it is one ofour most favorite packages..and is hailed by Staten Island.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. What can I say...I love the business because cause every day is Christmas. There is nothing more addicting than the joy of a child. True entertainers strive to make that special moment happen for they seek the delite of having "Party Magic" for themselves, as well, as the guests. To have a child run into one's arms, that did not know you hours prior, is a joy that cannot be expressed. to have the mom return year after year, so I too, may watch the child grow and mature is an honor not easily forgotten. hopefully, I willbe invited to the wedding, too for that would be a greater joy.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I always loved children. I was a professional dancer for many years before my own children. Once i had my own children, being artsy I started working in fields that allowed me to bring my children to work with me. I quickly became a teacher for Monmouth County Park System. Where I created many of my own classes..which still run today. this lead me to working athteh Atlantic club, Wall, nj. i ran the nursery, mini gym, and than created, organized, and ran a variety of classes and special events for the Field house which, is totally dedicated to children. while at the field house I learned to play games, competitive and non-competitive. I also worked as the art director for a summer camp of 250 children per a wk. On the weekends, I worked at a local party place doing art/dance parties...where face painting transformed a shy child to a roaring dragon. I was hooked, but spreading my wings once again I worked in Great Adventure, Jackson, nj. The stage called me again to work in front of a blue screen to interact with guests. After a few short months, I was manager. As the season ended... I started doing my own thing which has in turned become this full scale entertianment business with dedicated professionals waiting to create " party magic" for all.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Each and every day there is something to be learned from each party or child. One never knows where the next bit of wisdon will come from. Besides, beening active the business, I also attendyearly conventions such as the DJ convention, meeting and group lectures such as Kiddabra, Jersey comics, Face painting groups, DJ convention in Atlantic city, Clownfest in Seaside, nj. i have attend large convention such as Face and body convention in Florida twice. Private lessons among great artists, such as Wolfe Brothers twice and Mark Reid. i also stay current with First Aid as being at events one never know what to expect.
