The nice people at inspect200.com were very thoughtful and thorough. The experience of the inspector was awesome - he knew everything and did his homework BEFORE the inspection date! He knew that the home we were looking at was in a shoddily built development - barely meeting the building code - and he found so much wrong with the house that we were afraid to buy. Then, through his research, he showed us that prices were falling for over a year in that area and that we would be overpaying for the property! He saved us a ton of money and mental distress - and we got the home inspection and termite for only $275 !!! Wow - we are going to use him again on the next house and BEFORE we put in the bid we will call him for advice! What other inspector will do that?

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. No one can beat our price! We believe in the "Walmart theory of pricing"....high volume, low price with top notch quality!
And then, there's the experience! We have performed over 14,000 home inspections! We taught Mike Holmes everything he knows!
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. How do I pay for your service?
We take checks, cash, VISA, MC and money orders.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. Many years ago while performing a termite inspection for a retired State Trooper (Joltin' Joe Miller) he told me that he was dying from cancer of the brain caused by the radar gun he held up to his eye to catch speeders. I felt bad and when he said "How much do I owe you?" I reduced the price down to $40. He counted out 4 bills and handed them to me......it was 4 $100 dollar bills! I had tears in my eyes all the way home!
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. An experienced inspector (over 10,000 inspections) has a wealth of knowledge about so many facets of real estate. We know the neighborhoods and developments in a particular town or city, the year the property was built, the builder and, therefore, we have a good idea of the QUALITY of the structure you are buying. Rely on your inspector for information over and above just the condition of the house.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. Oh this is a dooooozie! I had a great job working for the State of NJ for Governor Kean - laid off by Florio in 1990 - vowed never to work for anyone again! There's nothing like your own business!
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. Get in NOW - the market is horrendous! Bush ran us into the ditch and Obama can't get us out! So learn now and be ready for the next boom! Remember - we live in a boom and bust economy - we went down the tubes in 1970, 1980, 1990 and 2007-2012 (the great recession).
