Introduction: If you or someone you know is interested in taking lessons on violin, viola, cello, guitar, bass guitar or ukulele I'm your guy! My name is Ken Lightfoot and I am a state certified music teacher with over 20 years of experience. I have been in the public schools and currently teach at a private school and out of my home studio. I have taught students of all ages ranging from 6 to adults in their 70's! I have experience playing anything from classical to modern rock and pop. It is important to me that the student not only learn the technique that is needed to play, but that they get to enjoy it by playing music they listen to and love. Playing an instrument is challenging, but with the right instruction and support it will be rewarding and a lot of fun!

We have only started working with Ken, but I can see that he is teaching my daughter things that have not been taught or addressed with her over the past 3 years with previous teachers He's very warm and easy to talk to, as well.

Our son has been taking cello lessons with Ken for over 6 years. It’s motivated our son to stick with cello as well as explore other instruments. Ken is very flexible as far as lesson timing as well as changing needs during the year for school concerts, auditions as well as mechanics, maintenance and music theory. We love Ken and highly recommend him as a music teacher for all ages.
