About
Everyone can sing and everyone can play the piano. I teach ages 4 to 99, and the studio currently has 37 students. Our youngest is almost 4 and our wisest is 93, online. And Currently the studio,is composed of 40% adults. I have completed graduate pedagogy study on teaching the adult student, and we adults have as great a time as the children. Group lessons are offered periodically for students to perform for one another and learn more theory through games. If students wish to perform, we have a minimum of 5 opportunities throughout the year. And children are many and varied in this studio and music lessons while ever evolving have been a source of positive energy during our sheltering in place time. My music degree is music education, with several additional courses in conducting, piano pedagogy, voice, opera and Broadway. I am currently taking cello lessons and frequently return to Westminster to take a few piano and voice lessons myself. Music, education, and children are three of my great loves. Look for the best teacher you can afford, one with patience, passion, and communication skills. You will find that here, as well as different teaching styles and methods, so each individual student's needs are met.
