Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Is being eco-friendly important to you? We strive to be as environmentally responsible here at Gardenias Floral, being Green doesn't have to be boring or expensive! We consider ourselves Eco-Chic! The best advice I can give to someone looking for us to be their event florist is to be prepared for your consultation by bringing any pictures of flowers you may have seen in Magazines, or online. Swatches are good too! Call the store to set up an appointment time and set aside approxtimately an hour to go over your wedding/event flowers in full detail.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We are a socially and environmentally responsible company. We respect the planet and try to be as efficient as possible. We reduce our waste and that also helps reduce costs! We also love what we do and it shows in all of our floral designs. We pay attention to all the details, especially the minute details that make your party/wedding stand out from everyone else.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love everything about my job! Meeting new people everyday, working with flowers, making things beautiful, what's not to love! I love when I deliver the flowers to the bride and she's so happy she almost cries. I love to see the smiles on people's faces when they finally see their vision become a reality...

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

Most often I am asked "How can I get all these floral elements and still stay within my budget?" It is possible to create the overall look and feel of your wedding with various flowers. Different flowers go in and out of season and prices can fluctuate. Decide what is most important to you-having your favorite flower in your bridal bouquet and all the centerpieces may be costly if you want Lilac in august. You can use Lilac in your bouquet and substitute a more cost effective, similar looking flower for the rest of the arrangements.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. When I was 13 my Mother told me it was about time to start looking for a part-time after school job. The first place I went into actually hired me and it was a flower shop! I immediateley fell in love with the work, from watering the plants to prepping the flowers as they came in. It's just a total sensory experience and being a florist allows you to be as creative as your heart desires!
