FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I wrote a poem about carnivals when I was seven years old. I loved reading HARRIET THE SPY. I studied Journalist at NYU and wrote RESUMES FOR WOMEN when I was in my 20s. The rest is (little known) history.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Individual writing guidance -- not only tutoring but working with young people who are building poetry or fiction portfolios - and small group workshops are the mainstay of what we do here at Studio 129.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Rapport is key. Kindness and confident. You want someone who is a good wordsmith but who is going to let YOU tell YOUR story in YOUR STYLE, whether in resume form, essay form, cover letter or book form.
