Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Working with an experienced travel professional will get you better deals than working alone. We as professionals get all the latest news from all over the travel industry. We learn of unadvertised sales, and upcoming sales that will save you money, and help make you dream trip a reality. On a recent booking for two couples I saved each couple an average of $800. Take a moment to think about that when you are looking at different travel sites. What could you do with an extra $200. $300. $400 or more? That is something that a travel professional can do to help your vacation budget go farther, maybe add a couple extra days to your stay, our upgrade your hotel or cruise line stateroom.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. There are a lot of questions to ask, one of the biggest questions to ask is, do you have insurance? Our agency carries $1,000,000. worth of Errors and Omissions insurance. Another question that you should ask is, do you offer Travel Interruption insurance? We always suggest a traveler get vacation protection insurance. Letís just say you are a few days away from your trip and something comes up with a family member becoming sick, or an injury. You are forced to cancel your trip at the last minute.
