A. The most common types of jobs I do for clients are resume and cover letter writing, beginning with an in-depth interview, culminating in branding documents designed to win interviews and jobs offers for my clients. However, each resume and cover letter I write is anything but "common." Since I write each document from scratch, never adhering to a template and never subcontracting my work, each resume and cover letter is totally unique . . . just like the clients I serve.
A. I have recently completed writing resume and cover letter packages and LinkedIn profiles, as well as provided career coaching services and website resource assistance, to a diversified array of clients, including military personnel transitioning into civilian life, retiring law enforcement professionals seeking challenging employment, teachers seeking both entry- level and promotional positions, and a host of C-level executives seeking the opportunity to conquer their next career challenge. I found each project to be exceptionally rewarding. Likewise, each either met or exceeded client expectations.

A. Not all resume writers / career coaches are created equal! I will never subcontract out your work, as do many resume writers / career coaches, nor will I ask you to fill out cumbersome questionnaires. I will always meet with you in person to identify and showcase the challenges you have faced in the workplace, the actions you took to meet those challenges, and the results of those actions, thereby branding you as a uniquely qualified candidate for the position or the promotion you seek. Call me today @ (609) 758-7799 or visit me on the web at www.awordsworth.com.
A. 1. How long have you been in business?
2. What unique qualities do you possess that your competition does not?
3. Why should I hire you?
4. What do I get for my money?
5. What type of payment do you accept?
6. When can I meet with you?
A. The mjost emportant information buyers should think about before seeking me out is what they are looking for in their next career. Resumes and cover letters must be specific to each position or industry. Candidates must demonstrate the potential value they bring to the workplace to land an interview with hiring authorities. Without having some idea of what the client is looking for in the workplace, I cannot adequately position them for employment. My advice to prospective candidates: email me one to three positings that appeal to you, regardless of timing, location, or compensaiton. Then . . . the process begins!
A. How could my work not stand out from others who do what I do? I have been in the business since 1989. I form lifetime alliances with my clients. I commit excellence to each project I assume. I have rewritten a great many of my colleagues' resumes and cover letters. My clients love my work. Need I say more?
A. I like EVERYTHING about my job! Helping my clients land interviews is so rewarding. Establishing alliances with my clients is equally fulfilling. Utilizing my strengths as a writer (I am a journalism graduate) and my interests in human resources (I went to graduate school for business, which included HR curriculum), has enabled me to pursue a career of a lifetime. Lucky me!
A. Customers usually ask how much I charge and how fast I can complete their projects. My answers to both questions are almost always well received.
A. I wish customers realized that a well-written resume and cover letter provide fantastic return on investment. A poorly written resume and cover letter is a total waste of money.
A. I started working for a competitor, managing his Toms River, NJ, office, writing compelling resumes and cover letters for completely satisfied customers. Within 6 months, I quit my job working for him and opened A Word's Worth Resume Writing and Career Coaching Service. Unfortunately, I put my competitor out of business in Toms River. Fortunately, I found my passion!
