FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am online with professional resume writers, career coaches, and human resource professionals on a daily basis, sharing information about the job market and career industry trends. Having earned the esteemed credential of "Certified Professional Resume Writer / Career Coach," I know the importance of staying on top of the latest developments in my field. Afterall, I've been in business since 1989. I have an A+ BBB rating, have earned endorsements from esteemed colleagues as well as tremendous reviews from clients, and have had my work published in 23 national books containing samples of the best resumes and cover letter of their time. Remaining committed to continuing education and remaining abreast of the latest developments in my field is a great source of joy for me.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started working for a competitor, managing his Toms River, NJ, office, writing compelling resumes and cover letters for completely satisfied customers. Within 6 months, I quit my job working for him and opened A Word's Worth Resume Writing and Career Coaching Service. Unfortunately, I put my competitor out of business in Toms River. Fortunately, I found my passion!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs I do for clients are resume and cover letter writing, beginning with an in-depth interview, culminating in branding documents designed to win interviews and jobs offers for my clients. However, each resume and cover letter I write is anything but "common." Since I write each document from scratch, never adhering to a template and never subcontracting my work, each resume and cover letter is totally unique . . . just like the clients I serve.
